I have always loved photography, and so I only pursue it in its true form of analog photography. With film, you make a physical recording on location that through physics and chemistry captures the scene in a silver halide grain and gelatin emulsion. Film recording has a softer and more natural look than digital recording—characteristics that are retained even in the analog-to-digital conversion of a scan. The edge transitions, the color tones and gradations, the depth of the image through the emulsion layers, the texture of the grain. It just has a beauty and naturalness that is completely opposite of digital.
